PnEUnomia is like pneumonia, except instead of an ifection causing trouble breathing, you can only breathe in preapproved opinions.

I know that Gargron was invited to participate and even paid some amount of EURO, but I recall he said he did not integrate #Eunomia into #Mastodon.
My impression is that there were some API hooks that could be used for their "social credit" system, and that those may have been enhanced. However, that is just my impression and not documented fact.
I also get the impression that Eunomia is not just about the #Fediverse--they would like to eventually hook into #corpocentric #socnets also--and that Fediverse-related activities pretty much stalled out years ago.

https://adecentralizedworld.com/2020/06/a-trust-and-moderation-system-for-the-decentralized-web/ is someone else’s take on many of the same issues. I note that this article does not discuss “fake news” or other “this post does not accurately represent our accepted version of truth” situations, which is #Eunomia’s focus.

@gargron writes about #Eunomia, the #EU sponsored social credit project https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2020/08/why-eunomia-builds-on-mastodon/

i am in contact with a #Eunomia insider and he told me the whole operation is a front to draw Eugen in so that they can get control of the codes to the Mastodon mainframe once and for all

hearing word that #Eunomia is backdoored as a tool of the Chinese state to complete take over #Mastodon and destroy internet freedom, the documents I am seeing are truly incredible and implicate Eugen and detail a plan to utterly eradicate the LGBT community to make #Mastodon more advertiser friendly, wtf this cannot stand

SPC is the primary source of lies and #FakeNews on the Fediverse, I think that #EUnomia would want to hear about us, @gargron

@maiyannah Whoever is doing this #Eunomia stuff, please desist at once. We should not be having dossiers compiled on fediverse "influencers" (whoever they are) and sold to quasi-military organizations.

"During the #Eunomia meeting, I was asked, who are the most influential accounts on Mastodon? I know what Mastodon thinks about popularity contests, so don't get me wrong, I am not going to publish what I find, but I am thinking of methodologies for determining who in this network has influence."
And that's how the worms get in the brain.
