@clacke Congratulations on the move. Does the new tower have shopping downstairs like the old one did?
I got to see some of that when I was in #NYC. Some hotels are only on upper floors, with apartments, stores and restaurants lower down.

Mom found a little neighborhood fish fry in a tent in a neighboring city. It reminds me of the one I visited in #Brooklyn #NYC. We're here watching them fry some catfish.

Tucumán seems almost deserted in comparison with my recent time in #NYC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjGioA3GDNo

I had shipped some equipment here from #NYC. I forgot the unlock code and it took me until today to brute force it. Devices have been updating all day and the last couple will probably be running updates all night, too.
I don't know whether it is the network or the device, but one of them seems to be running extremely slowly.

We’re having family movie night, watching “Hamilton” … which was playing in #NYC when I was there, but I never saw any plays.

One afternoon, I was at Union Square Park after work and decided to go into Best Buy. I bought a laptop for my mom, then decided I did not want to get on the subway carrying a new computer. So I walked back to the hotel. Some of the neighborhoods I passed suddenly looked threatening as heck, but no one bothered me.
I'm not sure whether this was just believing too much #NYC news or whether I just got lucky.

I ordered something from #Amazon. While I was still in #NYC, they claimed it had been delivered.
When I got back to #SoCal, it wasn't here. A few days later, I got an e-mail telling me that it was refunded.
If it wasn't delivered, why say it was?

Booked my flight to #sonTwo's place. Since I'm staying for at least a month (possibly six or seven weeks, depending on the situation in #MO and #SoCal), I went with a one-way ticket.
#GS4 still thinks I live in the computer screen. #GS3 has seen me in person, but that was half his life ago.
Because I was in #NYC so long, this trip is later than expected. Thus, because of school schedules, I cannot be sure that I will get to visit the older grandchildren during this trip.

The #NYC buildings I worked in had conference rooms already wired, some with HDMI, some with DisplayPort. Since every previous place I have been used VGA, it was a learning experience.
Basically, before every meeting, one should plug in all necessary cables, then reboot and test. Otherwise, it is more than 50% likely that someone in $CONFERENCE will send a panicked "Help, our meeting has no audio" / "Help, our meeting has no video" message.
Windows always wants to send audio to a connected #HDMI device, so if said device does not support audio, the nonexistent audio device must be disabled in Windows audio settings.
DP seems to be a little more prone to issues, though they are rarely the connector itself. I suppose #Win10 itself has different expectations and reactions.

Shipped most of my stuff home. What's left almost fits in 2 suitcases and 1 carry-on. Ready to say goodbye to #NYC after almost 11 months.

About two weeks ago, I went to a museum in #NYC. As they do at many of the buildings here, when you enter, they have a photographer take a picture of you with a venue-specific background. They give you a card with a code on it. Later on, you can take the card to a counter where you can view the image and purchase prints and a digital download.
Anyway, in almost two weeks of trying, I have been unable to download my photo. The code on the card is wrong. The (optional) phone number is missing. The zip code is wrong. (My zip code, or the museum's zip code? I have tried both.) I'm starting to regret spending $28 on this.

Crossed the Brooklyn Bridge to visit Union Square Park again. This is sort of a goodbye to the park. I may be back 1-2 more times before leaving NYC, but it is not a sure thing. I may take the Manhattan Bridge on the way back.

Drinking this #coffee, even though I know it means I have to delay my walk until after the extra fluids are excreted.
#NYC seems to have lots of people who urinate in public places, but where I come from, that would be considered indecent exposure, a sex crime.

I was watching the #NYC #Independence_Day fireworks via CNN (can't see them from the #hotel), but they keep moving the camera. I get that they are trying to capture the most spectacular view at any point in time, but I'd rather they point the camera somewhere, zoom out and leave it. If necessary, they can have another camera's picture in picture, the way they've been doing with Journey and Def Leppard.
By the way, the replacement lead singer really does sound similar to Steve Perry.

#NYC is such a sweaty city! Today was not extremely hot, but in less than two miles of walking (and not at a high speed either), my shirt was damp with sweat. I did not check the relative humidity, but it must be fairly high.

Also, there was a taxicab that jumped a curb and struck 6 people in Manhattan yesterday around 13:00. This was around 29th Street. I was above a mile away, near 14th Street at the time.

When I was working in one borough, I found a #Target store and discovered a brand of #lotion that I really liked. The last few days, I've been to a few Target stores in the current #NYC borough without finding the lotion.
They (and others) do the same with #yogurt. Except with #yoghurt, there is a tendency to have it the time you decide to try a particular brand and flavor of the product, and then never have it again.

Looks like light rain in #NYC today.

Another person thrown onto the #NYC subway tracks. This time, she was not killed and the perpetrator was caught.
And a bus driver was stabbed by a violent person who wanted to board between stops. The suspect is still on the loose.
Mayor Adams, where are the #NYPD patrols you promised on the buses and subways 🚊?
