Also, Tig Notaro needs her own Trek spinoff...
Oh wait, then Discovery might go back to sucking...

After watching the latest episode of Discovery, I realized I needed to go back and watch the Trek Shorts so that I had context to explain a character. So far I've only watched the one.
Me Hani Ika Hali Ka Po ROCKS.
I really need to see Jason Statham in the Star Trek universe. Maybe Section 31? Or maybe just a real badass good guy. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Seriously #StarTrekDiscovery , the Skynet/Android-gone-wild trope is kinda old by now. And then you did what you did under those tropes.
This was definitely step backwards.
OY.
Good episode of Discovery. Also... Vina.
OK, so yesterday's ep of Discovery was good. Along the lines of episode 0202. It was about exploration and new species and the stuff Trek is supposed to be about. That said, is General Order Number 1 (what would become the Prime Directive) an ORDER, or just a suggestion? They seem to be playing fast and loose with it, so far, this season.
So.... Discovery... tonight's episode was OK. Hopefully this will be the last of the spore network thing. It did have its moments, but I can surely do without reincarnation. This isn't Game of Thrones.
Section 31 is interesting because... Section 31, but time will tell.

Tonight's episode of Disco SOOOO wanted to be grand in scale and scope, but was a bit of a mess. Ultimately I think it failed, but E for effort. It shows that they're trying.
So last week Discovery became Ghostbusters by introducing a Slimer, and this week they went deeper into the GB universe by having Tig Notaro shoot a stream out of a Proton Pack. Oh, and Sleestak man made another appearance. #StarTrekDiscovery
Sooooo... #StarTrekDiscovery became Ghostbusters tonight? Last week's previews scared me, but wow. Please right this ship.
Dear #StarTrekDiscovery ,
Giving the Klingons hair and having them speak English isn't going to save the series. The Klingon arc is a failure. Please give us more episodes like last week's. That was exceptional.
Discovery seem to have borrowed some ideas from the film Knowing. I hope it's better than that. #StarTrekDiscovery #StarTrek
The only problem I had with last night's episode of Discovery, was that stun grenade Jacob had. Seemed a little too convenient.
I liked the addition of the old ST:TOS radio static noises used on last night's episode of #StarTrekDiscovery . Nice shout-out.
So I've really enjoyed the first two eps of season 2 of Discovery, but the previews make me scared. Maybe these two good episodes were accidents...
Jeebus. Another excellent episode of Discovery. The quality of these last two shines such a dramatic light on just how epically bad the first season was, that if you can't see it... well I just don't know.
Jeez. Even captain Pike thought the space tardigrade was stupid. #startrekdiscovery
Man I hope Tig Notaro is on Discovery more. She's already more interesting than the majority of the Discovery cast.
Well I am happy to report that episode 0201 of Discovery was about 1000 times better than the drek of season 1. It actually felt like Star Trek. Now if they would just abandon that stupid spore drive thing, they might be onto something. #StarTrekDiscovery #StarTrek
