#USGovt apps included code from Russian firm with ties malware developer; other large organizations also used this code in their internal apps.

@amic This is common in non-union organizations (including certain #USGovt agencies) ... management fears that people discussing their pay will cause dissatisfaction and ultimately unionization.
The sad thing about it is that if management is fair and transparent about pay scales, most people are reasonable about what they're getting.
(In $EMPLOYER, I used to use a newspaper's site to check the official pay of various people I work with. Turns out government employees' pay is generally public information. So trying to keep pay secret didn't work anyway.)

@musicman There are both pluses and minuses to acquisitions, but there does seem to be a size at which any organization becomes anti-people, including anti-employee. I’ve also noticed that not every sub-organization reaches that point at the same time or goes the same distance down that road as the rest of the (parent) organization.
Not saying that #Epic is or is not pro-people (or anti-people). Just a general observation.
(I do groan inwardly when I hear people saying they want to leave private industry because they perceive #USGovt as being more warm and fuzzy. They aren’t.)

On #USGovt and #conspiracy_theories the higher ups can't even wipe themselves without help. You think they could plan to hijack planes and crash them into the twin towers? Not possible. Pick a different conspirator.
