Duran Duran #song "The Reflex" https://youtu.be/ut3f_SloeXE #1984 #1980s
Although I've always liked this particular song, I believe today is the first time I have actively sought to hear Duran Duran. (Their moany droney sound was not my favorite, though they were better than Air Supply.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7JVlpm0eRs Wow. I still remember the first time I heard this. Car broke down on the freeway and the tow truck driver had this song playing loudly on the radio.

I remember this sort of display from the #1980s. They were said to be better for the eyes than the green-on-black displays, but it just caused me to experience eye pain leading to fairly intense headaches. I was glad when $LOCAL_COLLEGE went back to green.

Someone mentioned doing this song at Karaoke.

Now that I’ve been listening to all this great music from the #1970s (and a few songs from the #1960s and #1980s), I’m going to have to revise the list I sent to #sonTwo of what to play at my memorial service.
(No, I’m not planning for or expecting a departure any time soon. I’m hoping to stick around at least until #GS3 reaches adulthood.)

I don’t think I saw this one on MV3 or heard it on KROQ. I think my friends down the street brought it home from one of the weekly “DJ Parties” that were happening back then.

A couple of songs before bedtime. I haven't checked, but I am sure I heard these in the #1980s.
* Hank Williams Jr -- "This Ain't Dallas" https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ue6h2UAkCY
* Hank Williams Jr -- "If Heaven Ain't A Lot Like Dixie" https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GAwlj9wqFnI ... my old best friend's mom used listen to this #song.

Ah, the #1970s and #1980s! That was when Corona / Los Angeles station KBSC-TV52 became "ON Subscription Television" and scrambled their signal. No more could one watch reruns of Speed Racer and Yuusha Raideen, because it was now a pay movie channel.
I saw my first and only Friday the 13th movie on On-TV one weekend at the twins' house. (Wealthy friends ... their family also had an in-home telephone.)
Later, a competing subscription service called SelecTV came to channel 22. I think they both died out as cable TV and satellite-distributed movie channels spread across the Los Angeles area.

@amic It starts like this: "I am Adam, Prince of Eternia." Then it describes what happens when you raise your sword and exclaim "By the power of GreySkull!".
