#NOAA / #NWS continuing to warn (about 40 since yesterday) about minor flooding near streams and in low-lying areas of #MO. Since this is so widespread, I'm sure the easternmost portions of #KS, the northwestern corner of #AR, and portions of #IL across from Hannibal down to St Louis are having some of the same things.
If you're in the middle of the US, just remember not to try to cross flooded areas, whether walking or driving.

#NOAA / #NWS warning about minor flooding along streams and in low-lying areas of SW #MO, S Central MO, mid-MO, and NE MO. From Hannibal to Joplin and Springfield and West Plains. 1-3 inches of rain have fallen across the area. Unmentioned: adjacent areas, such as parts of #IL, #KS, #AR, which may get some overlap from this storm system.

I am looking up information about the New Madrid Seismic Zone ( #NMSZ ) / New Madrid Fault Line ( #NMFL ) and the possibly related Wabash Valley Seismic Zone ( #WVSZ ). I remember reading that it was a failed continent-splitting rift and thinking that it went southward into Louisiana and Mississippi, but apparently, it doesn’t.
#IL #MO #AR #TN — NMSZ is in these states
#MS #IN #OK #KY — Nearby states that could be affected by NMSZ

#NOAA /#NWS alerts continuing for severe #t-storms, heavy rain, flooding across my watched areas of #KS and #MO. 47 alerts in the past 24 hours and still going. Low-lying areas, areas near streams/rivers, there were even tornado warnings.
.
There's a stripe from #OK to #WI (including parts of KS, MO, the very NW corner of #AR, the very SE corner of #NE, eastern #IA, western #IL, parts of #MN) where floods are likely over the next few days.

#TD_Gordon moving N @ 7MPH through central #AR. Max sustained winds: 10MPH. Expected to drop 3-6 inches of rain, causing local & flash flooding in AR and #MO.
-

#NOAA / #NWS has sent several warnings about severe #t-storms in the Kansas City area and in SE #KS and SW #MO along the #OK and #AR borders. No reports of rotation, so hazards are hail, straight-line winds up to 60MPH, heavy rain, limited flooding in low-lying areas.

@rye I wish for internal peace where there is currently turmoil within certain residents of #IA and #AR.
-
Hmm. I don't remember hearing about yesterday's delivery in #AR, either. Nor Sunday's delivery in #MO. So it isn't just #NE.
-
I'm hiring! If you're a large, muscular man with a big wrench, apply today. You'll visit teens in #AR and #IA and knock them out promptly at 22:00 US-Central, so they sleep at night.

#NOAA / #NWS Winter weather advisory for mid #MO.
Flood and heavy rain advisories and warnings continue for Kansas City area, SW MO, SE #KS, NW #AR, E #OK, and mid MO.
-
#NOAA / #NWS forecasts 0.10 inch of ice across #MO South of #I-70; also in parts of #KS, #OK, #AR, #IL, #TN.
-
Naturally, this area in #MO adjoins #AR and #KS, so I expect areas in those states should also expect some flooding.
