Okay, today I've had phone calls with #sonTwo (as almost every day) and #sonOne (per our new weekly phone call schedule). I think I'll use #Wire to call #Daddy_A, so that I can get to see grandpa's little buddy and his siblings.

@delores Smartphones saved me from having to ask #sonTwo and #Daddy_A to enter contacts into my phone. It's a wonder that @mike can tolerate me.

@dog I've raised three boys through their teen years. Well, two and a half, since #Daddy_A didn't officially live with me.

What do you do when listening to one of your two favorite songs of all time makes you wish you had died 30+ years ago? I've already given up two well-loved songs for that reason. I really don't want to give up this one.
(Yes, I've talked about this song and its effects with #sonOne and #sonTwo, and they both recommended I drop it. #Daddy_A is not really able to discuss such things right now because he's focusing on trying to delay his upcoming 5th back surgery.)

It occurs to me that the person at the shipping store took all the stuff into the back for boxing and sealing. It is possible that box 1 (sent to #Daddy_A in #NE) and box 2 (sent to @mike in #AR) were swapped.
If your box has Hot Wheels and Captain Underpants books, they got switched.

Shipping some stuff to #Daddy_A and the Little One. As expected, the 1.5 year old in #NE plays with the 5 year old's Hot Wheels cars, so I'm sending a few more. Meanwhile, the #AR teen gets a little more business-looking attire.

I'm trying something new starting today. I will try to have a phone or a videochat conversation with #sonOne and one with #Daddy_A every weekend. They don't have to be long, just regular.
For several years, I've had near-daily conversations with #sonTwo.

#Daddy_A seemed to have given up on doing anything productive with his life after 4 back surgeries, but in yesterday's call, it sounds like he's interested doing something again.

Talked to #Daddy_A, possibly the only person who is less comfortable in a phone call than I am. He will attempt to give me some logo candidates for !fnetworks.

I'm getting gentle ribbing by family members over the fact that I own an #iPad. #Daddy_A's household is all Apple, so I got it to use FaceTime with #Little_Boy_A. Now we use #Wire, but I have a $300 tablet to use it on.

Just under 90 minutes. Too late to call #Daddy_A. They are feeding kids and then getting them ready for bed.

Overall, I think I've been pretty good about hiding which son is the favorite, but in the last year or so, I think everyone knows #sonTwo is it.
(It used to be that #sonOne thought the 2nd kid was it, while the 2nd kid thought the older kid was it. #Daddy_A is a special case.)
Hopefully, no one in the family knows which grandkids are favorites.

#Daddy_A and family have almost completed their move. Their Internet service should be active on Thursday.
#sonTwo and his wife are still working on their move. He's trying to find a non-profit that will take most of their furniture (new place is much smaller), but being on the 3rd floor scares most of them away.

If I'd known it would be this easy, I wouldn't have waited. I think I'm bringing #Daddy_A into the conversation tomorrow (and ignoring #sonTwo's advice to bring #sonOne in ASAP), but so far, it looks like it will be acceptable to do this if I have to.

#Daddy_A and family got their own place, so they'll be moving next week. #sonTwo's lease is up at the end of this month (or maybe next month) and they haven't found another place yet.

I ate the fries (since french fries ARE my favorite food). No room for the burger, so it went into the fridge. I got the smallest size of everything.
I guess I still need to adjust to not having #sonTwo and #Daddy_A around to vacuum up any food I don't consume.

@mike When #sonTwo and #Daddy_A were in middle and high school, I got them to pull their pants up by singing the Barney theme song until they did. They feared that someone would think they watched & liked the show. Sometimes it is good to be evil.

@infernalturtle I didn't think I'd like the Emoji Movie either. That was the surprising part. It could have been the fact that #GD1 and especially #GD2 enjoyed it.

I used to read the Captain Underpants books with #sonTwo and #Daddy_A, so the only thing that surprised me was my four year old grandson #Little_Boy_A knowing exactly which parts are funny, even though it was pretty obvious that he doesn't understand scatological humor yet.

Partial results are in from #Daddy_A's latest back exam. X-ray shows degeneration hasn't progressed, even though pain is increasing. He's hoping to be at least 30 before his fifth surgery. An MRI is scheduled to see whether scar tissue is part of the problem.

I was going to send the kids a 90s flashback message with this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=010KyIQjkTk ), but in most of 1992, #sonTwo was 4 and #Daddy_A was 3. They would still recognize it, but not in the way I hoped.
