Oddly, sacbee.com had nothing about the #Sacramento area police activity or the criminal act that preceded it. #Sac newspaper is slipping.

I don't know what's happening, but the #Sacramento sheriff copter is circling and playing an announcement about a suspect: white male, black hat with white writing, blue jeans, black shoes with a white stripe. That's the only part I can understand (too much car noise).

Last night: Weak #tornado in Davis, California (near #Sacramento) https://nu.federati.net/url/248048
No known damage. #Davis #Sac

There was some pretty loud thunder in #Sac last night. A little bit of water fell from the sky, but not a lot. Where I am, there wasn’t anything to see. Maybe other parts of the #Sacramento area saw the ⛈ lightning.

What's going on in #Sac lately? In the past week, I've seen three cars driving on the wrong side of a divided street. In each case, the person wasn't confused ... they were shortcutting the process of driving to the corner, waiting for the light, making a U-turn to get to the house or business they wanted to go to. This seems to be a #Sacramento only thing so far. I have not seen this elsewhere.

I saw a young man here in #Sacramento that rode up to a place where several homeless people stay. He opened up his backpack and gave them some bags of fast food, talked with them for a few minutes, then rode away.

For some definition of "good job", that's true everywhere. But I can see your actual point, which is that there aren't enough good jobs in / near #Buffalo, NY. (Nor my #SoCal hometown, either.)

True story: some employees of the agency are staying in #Sacramento and commuting two hours each way to and from work because they claim the town where they work is hostile to darker-skinned people.

Today must be the last day. There's a line outside Dimple Records that stretches to Dimple Books. Both stores are going out of business. #Sac #Sacramento

Driving the #I-5 to #Sacramento. Stopped to refuel in Lost Hills. Hopefully, next stop is #Sac.
-
Finishing today's #YoCo ( #yogurt and #coffee ) before I book my trip back to #Sacramento. I'm not expecting to be in #Sac long, and it makes more financial sense for the agency to send me elsewhere, but like most federal agencies, $EMPLOYER doesn't work that way.

My mom called recently to ask me about a #Sacramento area transit train collision. I hadn't even been aware a train crash near #Sac.
-
One thong I can say: compared to parts of !SoCal's Mojave Desert, #Sacramento feels hot. I know it is because it is more humid here (right about now, residents of MS, LA, FL are laughing at the low level of moisture that Californians call "humid", but if you from an arid place, it is humid in #Sac).
-
Since I don't expect to be in #Sacramento much longer, I went back to the mall where I met up @bthall ... I was looking for a baby or toddler size #Dodgers hat, but haven't found one.

Weather Underground says 101F to 107F (feels like 101F to 115F) in #Sacramento and the #Sac area. It does feel hot, that’s for sure.
-
Peak temperatures in the 100F to 110F range this week in the #Sacramento Valley and foothills. Going to have to try to walk early, before the day heats up.
-
103F in Mesa, #AZ.
90F in #Sac, which is fairly comfortable for #Sacramento.
-
#Sacramento weather: 105°F and sunny. Winds SSW 9MPH. 16% relative humidity. It is hot in #Sac today.
-
@nybill I'm told #Sacramento has one drive-in theater still operating. Maybe #Sac is just 30-40 years behind everywhere else.
-
It is already 89F at 08:00 in Mesa, #AZ, heading toward 108F this afternoon. 74F in #Sacramento, heading toward 98F.
I need to take my walk before the sidewalks melt.
-
@cigarman Oh, that's right. I forgot. That happened right here in #Sacramento, too.
