@ragamuffinjim I have to vote for the local offices, since they have more impact on what happens to the folks at home. I don't have any information on the state judges, so I'm leaving those offices blank. I'm also trying not to support the #twin_parties, so I may leave most of the statewide offices blank as well.

@natecull I don't know when it started, but as someone who does not support the #twin_parties, I don't want either party to be able to impose their agendas on the rest of us. So, voters, please split your votes, or even better, choose third parties.
-
@samis Yes, it is. The #TwinParties put their games above the rest of us.
-
@clacke Then hopefully, USAmericans will figure out that they do not need to follow the #twin_parties or support/vote for candidates chosen by those parties.

@strypey @tekk How could US labor groups challenge the establishment, when the Democrats are part of that establishment? They would need to be independent of the #twin_parties, then they could challenge the establishment. Surely you've noticed how both #TeaParty and #Occupy lost most of their force once they were co-opted by a party.
-
@strypey @tekk Labor's lost political force is caused by exactly the same thing that cause the Black community's political force to decline.
They wed themselves to one of the #twin_parties, so that the other party never needed to respond to their concerns (no chance of earning their votes anyway), and then their chosen party realized it had their votes regardless of what it did, so then their chosen party also stopped pursuing policies that would benefit those constituencies.
If they want the parties to pay attention, they need to put their votes in play such that both parties have a shot at getting them.
-
@tekk I vote in most elections, but I refuse to vote for #twin-parties candidates. Sometimes, that leaves me with no available choices, but the only way to break the duopoly is to refuse to give my vote to them.

@bob @maiyannah To some degree, it is sourced by the various advocacy groups. I had a tense e-mail conversation with a family member over a Las Vegas shooting victim that stood to greet the President. I said people should stop injecting their hypocritical political bullshit into other people's lives, and that this same family member would have been incensed had the shooting victim not stood for the former occupant of the White House. But I'm open about not liking any #Twin_Parties politician in almost 30 years. All D and R #pollies stink.

Ethnic supremacist movements usually exist to cover for a smaller group that not only subjugates outgroups, but also many of the ingroup as well. In the glorious antebellum South, most poor whites were not much better off than black slaves, but over 100 years later, I still their descendants fondly looking back at "better times". The #twin_parties don't have any clue how to neutralize this corrosive belief. (Response to now-deleted post.)
