   Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has accepted the resignation of Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly after Modly called fired ship captain Brett Crozier “stupid” for thinking his letter about deplorable conditions due to #COVID-19 and lack of support from superiors would not be leaked.

     IMO, the Secretary of the Navy should have been fired immediately after reports of him bad-mouthing his (fired) subordinate leaked. I realize military people do not have the same rules are real life people, but once you fire someone, it becomes and HR issue and only HR is allowed to say anything (other than "$PERSON was an employee, but is no longer").
