   I'm noticing that the local news media have a lot fewer news items (other than #COVID-19) now that fewer people are out and about to commit or be victimized by crimes. Can we extend the lockdown for another decade or two?

     Or, maybe they can look for good news to cover right now. Ordinarily, the news makes my little town about 100 miles from Los Angeles sound like the district formerly called "South Central" (it is now called "South Los Angeles", because of the reputation the old name acquired).
