#1973 Apparently, this got loads of airplay, but I was only an occasional radio listener at the time. I heard it, of course. But I don’t remember it being as big of a deal as I read about after the fact.
I remember thinking they sounded like the Osmonds. I do remember them being some sort of “ambassadors” for some cause, leaving on a world concert tour. I don’t think they completed the entire planned set of concerts.

Career crushed by a combination of changing musical tastes (apparently, disco became big in 1974) and changing producers (with accompanying changes in the group’s sound).
At least, this is what a couple of videos and articles said. I remember the Defranco Family was there, then they were not. And I really turned to radio listening after they mostly were not.
