     He's going to be thrilled to get three books, some crayons, and some watercolors.
     
     My daughter-in-law occasionally has watercolor days, where she puts him on the enclosed porch with paint and paper, so he cannot paint anything that matters.
     
     I don't know if we just weren't smart enough to do that or if lacking an area such as the enclosed porch meant we never had a reason to think of it.
