As much as I agree that a revolt by top military and political leaders against Vladimir Putin would be the best outcome (embarrassment-free exit from the current war; see the 1917 Revolution and its impact on World War I), I believe that all such leaders are aware of his KGB background and the likelihood that he's had their every move and conversation recorded and reported since he first ascended to the throne.

I expect that it would be exceedingly difficult to arrange such a revolt without tipping him off in advance.

If you're a leader in #Russia, please do it anyway, but you should have no illusion that he's not watching for just such a plot.
