We had a short discussion in the #TechTeam office about setting boundaries, so $EMPLOYER doesn't consume one's life. Someone wanted to stay late to finish a project. We're already working 10 hours * 6 days.

@skellat The unwritten standard used to be "7-7-7" for the first six weeks. (Start at 7AM, work until 7PM, 7 days a week.)

@skellat To tell the truth, 7-7-7 and other frequent overtime schedules used to be the thing that made it worthwhile. Seeing a 4 year old grandchild who hadn't seen me for half his life (mostly because I was out of state working that whole time) has really upended my priorities.
