Now that I’ve been listening to all this great music from the #1970s (and a few songs from the #1960s and #1980s), I’m going to have to revise the list I sent to #sonTwo of what to play at my memorial service.
(No, I’m not planning for or expecting a departure any time soon. I’m hoping to stick around at least until #GS3 reaches adulthood.)

Eric Clapton #song “Layla” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPp9_n4xp_Q #1970 #1970s
I just realized that I missed out on calling #sonOne and talking to #GD1 and #GD2 because I was looking for the song with the guitar riff that’s been playing in my head.

Here's another guitar riff #song from the #1970s: Dire Straits "Sultans of Swing" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fAQhSRLQnM #1978

Now listening: Alice Cooper #song "School's Out" #1972 #1970s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBqiC5ox8Bw
It seemed like this one had been out for a while before my friends and I discovered it, but it might just not have been in regular play on "93 KHJ" 930 AM and KKDJ 102.7 FM (the stations we listened to most at the time). I remember us calling a radio station to request it on "Liberation Day" (the last day of that school year).

After this one. Now #listening: Boston #song "More Than a Feeling" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oR4uKcvQbGQ #1970s #1976

Now #listening: Deep Purple #song "Smoke on the Water" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikGyZh0VbPQ #1972 #1970s
No, this isn't the riff I was looking for, but this is one I'd gladly listen to for hours each day.
-
Now #listening: T.Rex #song "Get It On" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZkTh_T75QY #1970s #1971
I was looking for a specific guitar riff I remember from the radio. But these are also good.

Now #listening: Free #song "All Right Now" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTfCSRFb0zE #1970 #1970s
(This is where I'd @ mention that #wretched #bot \@question to get his response in thread.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xqMY8UAGgg The Ohio Players -- "Fire" #song from #1974 #1970s
I first heard this song when the kid across the street knocked on the door and played it on his cassette recorder (his was a two-child family, so they could have things like that), saying "You've got to hear this. It's gonna be a hit!" He was right, and the last time I heard from TTT, he was working at a radio station as on-air talent.

Tonight’s singing and humming (in a loop) #song is The Spinners — “Mighty Love” https://youtu.be/NajDYzaYxhc #1974 #1970s (This specific performance is from #2017.)

Ah, the #1970s and #1980s! That was when Corona / Los Angeles station KBSC-TV52 became "ON Subscription Television" and scrambled their signal. No more could one watch reruns of Speed Racer and Yuusha Raideen, because it was now a pay movie channel.
I saw my first and only Friday the 13th movie on On-TV one weekend at the twins' house. (Wealthy friends ... their family also had an in-home telephone.)
Later, a competing subscription service called SelecTV came to channel 22. I think they both died out as cable TV and satellite-distributed movie channels spread across the Los Angeles area.

I remember the "Mr Fazio refuses to be undersold" commercials. The chain ignited a price war, which kept #SoCal food prices relatively low for most of the #1970s.
