One of our clients would like to place an article on your site.
Umm, do people really read and respond to this type of spam? Because I cannot imagine ever allowing "market-magnet" or its clients to post their spammy articles on any Federati site or instance. I cannot imagine that I or anyone else would seriously consider it.
I mean, come on. If you're doing this, you should already have set up SEO-enhanced sites ready for your clients to use.

Whomever runs the https://social.chrismcallister.co.uk #Friendica instance: fix your server. You're making a crazy number of requests.

@xrevan86 @clacke Years ago, #InnoDB was produced by an independent company, just as #Sleepycat (BerkeleyDB ... BDB engine) was. I don't know if it was possible to use InnoDB separately from #MySQL even then. #Oracle bought Sleepycat and then Inno, and finally #Sun.
I've been using it for somewhere around 20 years (+/-2 years), having encountered it in a college course (replacing Hughes #MiniSQL).

It's a Google Doc ... claims to be treatment(s) that seem to be effective against #COVID-19, based on experience in China, South Korea.

Me: It's still early, but if it means that domestic animals can catch #COVID-19 from their humans and possibly pass it back, that's bad news. There's likely to be some enhanced mutation if it repeatedly crosses from one species of host to another.

12:12 pm: A dog in Hong Kong tests positive for the coronavirus, WHO confirms
A dog in Hong Kong has tested positive for the coronavirus that's killed at least 2,859 humans across the world over the last two months, World Health Organization officials said Friday. Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, the technical lead of WHO's emergencies program, said that the canine tested "weakly positive," meaning low levels of the virus were found in test results. Hong Kong scientists aren't sure if the dog is actually infected or if it picked up the virus from a contaminated surface, she said, adding that it is working with local authorities and scientists who tested the animal. —Higgins-Dunn

Cybersecurity experts have expressed concern that the results-reporting app had not been vetted by independent experts before being launched in Iowa.
Sydney Ember, reporting from Des Moines 19m ago
The party is attempting to verify results reported on the app by getting smartphone pictures of the paper worksheets at each precinct site.

Biden team to state party: Campaigns should get “full explanations & relevant information regarding the methods of quality control you are employing.”
Thomas Kaplan, with Biden in Des Moines 45m ago
The Biden campaign sent a letter to the Iowa Democratic Party late Monday night citing “considerable flaws” in the reporting system for the caucuses.
Sydney Ember, reporting from Des Moines 49m ago
More from Mandy McClure, Iowa Democratic Party: “This is simply a reporting issue, the app did not go down and this is not a hack or an intrusion.”
Katie Glueck, reporting from Des Moines 52m ago
The anecdotal evidence for Biden was looking rough all night. But the delay in the results, and potential for confusion, may buffer any blow for him.
Sydney Ember, reporting from Des Moines 11:30 PM ET
Iowa Democrats: “We found inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results.” Using photos & paper trail “to validate that all results match.”
You've got to be kidding me. Tell me that they didn't just mess up the recording and reporting of caucus results ... because of an untested smartphone app.

@amic Ah, that's good! One of the reasons #Daddy_A has permanent problems with his back is because Medi-Cal (California's version of MedicAid) refused to help for over a year. Not because their income wasn't low enough, but because he's an adult male. (His wife and son already had Medi-Cal at the time). The county refused to do emergency care because ACA required him to get Medi-Cal.
I'm still angry about the way ACA and Medi-Cal interacted.

Hi, Sonic? This is Inve Stigato R. I'm with the Cauliflower Institute of America, and we'd like to sponsor you. Do you think you could stop and eat some cauliflower before running fast? Maybe take a slow jog, then eat cauliflower and now you're able to run very fast? We'll even provide an image of the product and its labelling, so it can just be dropped directly into games.

Hey, it worked for canned spinach when they sponsored Popeye.

Now listening: Alice Cooper #song "School's Out" #1972 #1970s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBqiC5ox8Bw
It seemed like this one had been out for a while before my friends and I discovered it, but it might just not have been in regular play on "93 KHJ" 930 AM and KKDJ 102.7 FM (the stations we listened to most at the time). I remember us calling a radio station to request it on "Liberation Day" (the last day of that school year).

Personally, I never liked #IRC, so I quickly stopped using it back in the late #1990s. Sometime in the 2000s or 2010s, I started to use #SILC (through their CLI client based on the "irssi" IRC client), and only through SILC did I learn to tolerate IRC. Today, I almost always use IRC through bridges to #Matrix or #XMPP MUCs.
And even though I usually have multiple terminal windows open on my desktop, I only use GUI IRC clients.
