#faveNephew called last night while I was looking for children's clothing, so I'm finishing the order today.
We talked about my recent trip to #MO and my plans to move there. We discussed certain family members who are wedded to living in this area and how moving will affect them.
We discussed his cousin #lazyNephew. Work ethic, cleaning and cooking (or lack thereof ... I sent pics of the tub after LN's shower). We talked about the way LN spends much of his money on eating out, then can't pay his cellular bill or put gas in the tank. (His mom--one of my sisters--bails him out every pay period, then wonders why she's broke.)
We discussed FN's commute to work (he's not sure how long he can keep doing it, but his agency is paying him a location bonus for the office where he's assigned), potential advancement paths, and what it is like having a new supervisor that resents his higher education level. And potential paths into other agencies.
He worked late enough that traffic was thinner, so our call (during his drive home) was shorter than our normal calls.

I'm not joining the conversation, but I am reminded of learning a few phrases in Puerto Rico, then calling #faveNephew and him telling me "we don't say that" and "we don't say it that way".

@geniusmusing #faveNephew keeps telling me that he wants to take me to #Mexico next time he goes to visit his grandmother, but at this point, I doubt it will ever happen.
-
Good morning. I spent most of yesterday on the road, so today I’m going to try to catch up with the things I missed.
Got to see a couple of nephews that I haven’t seen in a while. One was returning from physical therapy (workplace injury followed by surgery). The other was returning from work. #Fave_nephew was still at work, as was my niece #LG.

Talked to #faveNephew last night about his cousin #lazyNephew. Starting to get frustrated with him about him not contributing around the house (and with my sister for not teaching her sons that "everyone contributes when and where they can").
-
@triodug I hadn't seen the term "Latinx" until the Superbowl. So I asked #faveNephew, and he said it's a US thing ... he said not to say that around real Mexicans (his dad is from Mexico and he lived there for a while).
-
@triodug Nah, you won't be cancelled for the N word. You'll be cancelled for calling yourself a "Spic" instead of "LatinX" or whatever today's name for Hispanic is. (I really need to call #faveNephew and ask, so I don't use the wrong name when talking with people from that branch of the family.)

I'm not watching the news much. I know about PG&E PSPS in #NorCalbecause $EMPLOYER has some offices in affected areas.
.
According to #faveNephew, SCE is also running Public Safety Power Shutoffs in some parts of #SoCal.
-
There’s some Nintendo event going on. #faveNephew sent me the annual photo in the crowd with Pikachu in the background.
-
#FaveNephew: You could have just taken the bows off.
.
(Talking about my grandson's shoes. Instead of baseball themed shoes, I originally bought shoes with a little bow. I was distracted and on the phone.)
-
Today’s shirt says “Do me a favor and stop talking”. #faveNephew said that the shirt fits.

Today we drove to visit one of my siblings. It was nice. Right as we were about to pull out of the driveway, #faveNephew came home.

I think I need to tell these guys to make an appointment. Mark from work, #sonTwo, and #faveNephew all called multiple times tonight while I was on the phone with one of the others. The total calling time was only two hours (Mark alone can often use up three hours), but spread out your calling times better, please.
My son has an interview for a better-paying position with his current employer. My nephew is settled into his government agency job and starting to turn down offers outside the agency (I told him to move to another employer before he hits the five year mark). My co-worker’s GF just left our $EMPLOYER for another agency and now she’s starting to make hints that maybe he should be looking to leave.
-
I was on the phone with #faveNephew until late, so I didn’t return Mark’s call.

#faveNephew called right as I was about to go to bed last night. We talked for one hour of his commute before we disconnected. According to the tracker, I still got 5.1 hours of #sleep.
-
Robert, a young volunteer from another agency, decided to send me his #3DS and #Switch “friendship” codes. Even though I have both devices, I don’t use either one enough for connecting to “friends” to be worthwhile. I’m only connected to #faveNephew (I’m not even connected to my sons or grandkids, despite me buying their consoles for them.)
-
Launching #Pokemon Sun on the #Nintendo #3DS ... but since I’ve never played any of the other games, I should wait until #faveNephew is off work tonight. Maybe we can team play or something while I learn how to work the game.
I’m definitely not a fan of “give us your zip code for this zero-price update so we can calculate sales tax” ... I wonder how many people insert the Beverly Hills zip?

I was going to call @amic and @dog today / tonight, but it didn’t happen. Nor did I talk with #sonOne, #sonTwo, #Daddy_A (but he’s not talking much because he still hurts from chin and neck to ear), or #faveNephew. Sorry everyone, I will try again tomorrow night.

Writing a witness statement. A “division director” from another office was exceptionally rude to a member of $EMPLOYER #TechTeam. It was about ten feet away from me, to the right rear, so I could not help but be a witness. i did have to communicate with #sonTwo and #faveNephew before I agreed to write my statement.

#faveNephew called while I was at the going away thing last night. I didn't even hear the phone (noisy restaurant). Later, I texted to tell him why I hadn't answered. This morning, I see his reply: I'm proud of you for not being such a hermit.
