I got to #videochat with #GS4 & #GS5 yesterday. #GS3 was watching TV, and did not participate. We’re going to have another videochat today, without any television 📺 to interfere.
The almost two years old child was at the limit of his verbal expression, but he was clear about what he was saying. “I’m happy that we’re having this chat, but I want you to come back and talk in person.”

#GS4 still weighs less than 25lb. He will be two years old in a few months. His younger brother #GS5 is three months old and currently weighs 16.5lb. Of course, he will lose weight once he starts crawling and walking, but wow.

The family photos we took when I was at #sonTwo's house have come back. This photographer did a much better job of getting the kids' attention than their previous photographer did. There are pictures where both #GS3 and #GS4 are smiling and looking toward the camera at the same time.

#sonTwo informs me that they celebrated their holidays early, as his wife and kids will be going to her parents' home for the holidays. He's got to work, so he'll be home. #GS3 got his favorite "Gup" https://nu.federati.net/url/288815 and keeps it with him all the time. (He has to, or #GS4 will try to take it.)

Had a #videochat with #GS3 and #GS4. During the chat, the 3.5 year old carried the phone around the house and found a missing steak knife on the floor underneath something. I sent #sonTwo a text message telling him to ask his son where the knife is.
The 1.5 year old asked me to pick him up. His word for that is "down".

I waited to say goodnight to #GS3 and #GS4, but we missed our time slot.

Well, I should say that #GS3 is watching it. #GS4 is not paying attention at all. The adults are watching while doing other things.

Since Grandpa is leaving in a few days, we went to buy the Christmas tree today. I've seen video of previous years, and #GS3 is always excitedly running around and pointing at small trees. Today, he was a lot less active, and #GS4 was laggy. (The 1.5 year old had fallen asleep on the way over there, and was still not fully awake by the time we'd found the tree, cut it down, and dragged it over to pay for it.)

I’m glad that guardian angels are not unionized. #GS4 overworks his GA and I’m sure management would balk at the angel’s timesheets.

I let #GS3 stay up late, so he could see his daddy before bed. (Work schedules are really screwy right now; he's working one full-time job and two part-time jobs.) #sonTwo put him to bed about 45 minutes past his normal bedtime.
#GS4's bedtime is earlier, but he wound up going to bed more than an hour late. Both boys (ages 3.5 and 1.5 years) were crying for 30-45 minutes, trying to fight sleep.
I'm going to miss these little guys, even though I'm looking forward to a rest.

#GS4 climbs on things and starts jumping. He falls off and lands on the floor roughly. A few minutes later, he's ready to try it again.
-
#GS4 has more energy than the rest of us combined. He's been running around full speed.

#GS3 had a hard day today. Twice, he was playing and missed his signal to go to the potty. He also had a couple of tantrums.
#GS4 has been the one having a rough time most days, because he's only 1.5 and still expects to be mommy's main focus. Well, that and being told to stop creating messes or making them worse when he's in "mess monster" mode. But today, he was better.

Did some family pictures at a local park. Apparently, this is a popular spot. We saw photographers taking couples’ photos, and one that was photographing the deer 🦌 that were crossing the park.
This time, it was grandpa taking the pictures, so I hope they aren’t too awful. Their last photos were done by a professional photographer, but one who did not connect with #GS4, so they were unsatisfied with the photos. I think the hope is that seeing me might help him relax and engage more.
But he wasn’t interested in anything except the moon 🌙 and one person’s dog 🐕, so I don’t know whether this solved any of the issues.
#GS3 noticed that the grass was sort of spongy, so he wanted to jump.
Fun times, but also very tiring.

#GS4 is practicing to work at a bank. Even if he’s in a room alone, , he’ll say “no, no, no!” He’s even made a game out of saying “no” whenever someone else says “yes”.

#GS3 and I rescued a praying mantis that would have drowned in a pool of rainwater.
Meanwhile, #GS4 keeps finding dead crickets. He gets really excited about crawling insects, sqealing and pointing and jumping up and down.

#GS4 is starting to become known to the emergency room night crew. Tonight’s mishap required superglue, but he shouldn’t have any permanent scar. He came back home and immediately ran to the same place he had been jumping on a bed and bounced into a chest of drawers.
Also, he got his check up. He’s at the 90th percentile of boys his age for height, and 20th percentile for weight. That apparently equates to a BMI in the 5th percentile.

Still busy being primary caregiver for #GS3 and #GS4. Soon, I will have to leave. I do not know the exact date, as I am attempting to extend my scheduled time off.
And yet, financially, I need to get back to work. The bank account can use some inflows. I also have to proceed with the planned 2nd bank account, as there have been multiple policy changes (and worse, changes to the bank’s website) in a fairly short time period.

Reading "Y is for Yak". It ends by mentioning yak poop. #GS4 is saying "poopoo" over and over.
