@bob One thing that I think both the media and the #pollies forget. No one changes their minds about a candidate based on the garbage they view on Facebook. They argue against and block people whose messages are contrary to their chosen candidates.
Blaming Russia and Facebook and Twitter instead of examining what voters were saying to the political leadership when they surprised everyone (me included) with the election results risks repeating those results in 2020.

It just occurred to me that "thinking" is very close to "thin king" ... maybe that's the trouble with our #pollies.

@musicman Best if the #pollies stay home and pass appropriations. They'll mess up the largest domestic response in US history if they do anything else.

@bob @maiyannah To some degree, it is sourced by the various advocacy groups. I had a tense e-mail conversation with a family member over a Las Vegas shooting victim that stood to greet the President. I said people should stop injecting their hypocritical political bullshit into other people's lives, and that this same family member would have been incensed had the shooting victim not stood for the former occupant of the White House. But I'm open about not liking any #Twin_Parties politician in almost 30 years. All D and R #pollies stink.

Such honesty and foresight!
On this side of the pond, govt leaders and #pollies have known since at least the #1970s that our Social Security fund is likely to collapse, but few have been honest enough to say anything about it when people could have had decades to prepare.
