@geniusmusing When one of my brothers joined USAF, he was sent to a base back East, where there was only one other person known to be from #SoCal. The guy told everyone his home was "near Los Angeles" ... it was a small town in the Coachella Valley ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wikiCoachella_Valley ) area of far eastern #Riverside County.
By that measure, most or all of SoCal is near #Los_Angeles.

Oh, good. #NOAA / #NWS has cancelled most or all of the flash flood watches in #SoCal (at least #San_Bernardino and #Riverside counties).
-
Oh, wow. Looks like there are flash flood watches from the upper Mojave Desert to the Mexican border tomorrow and Wednesday. If you didn't already have a reason not to go out, you do now.
!SoCal Alerts cover most of #Inyo, #Kern, #Los_Angeles, #San_Bernardino, #Orange, #Riverside, #San_Diego, #Imperial counties
There's also still an areal flood advisory for most of the Santa Ana River basin in the Inland Empire and Orange County.

Small #earthquake felt here in my !SoCal hometown. Based on the approximate time, it may have been the M4.6 near Anza ( in the #Riverside County mountains ). No damage, but shelves swayed a little.

Getting several flash flood alerts from #NOAA / #NWS for !SoCal. #San_Bernardino, #Riverside, #Orange counties. Likely also true in #San_Diego, #Los_Angeles, #Ventura, #Imperial counties, but they’re not in my monitoring zone.
Avoid places with standing water on the road. Keep your speed down. Use inner lanes when you can, so you avoid the higher water accumulations in the outside lanes.
