   its good to compare to the trump election because the way trump one was heavily influencing media and peoples opinions. he was non-political in his actions which made him come across as '"one of us". even though im sure most people that are starkly pro-trump are against at least one big thing he's for, his personality wins you over. that way you can laugh about saying "build the wall" without thinking about it too hard. its just a joke, but it also inspires others to joke about it creating indirect support

     @delores I wouldn't be surprised if Trump not building the wall as he stated leads to loss of support in #AZ, #NM, #TX and non-urban areas of #SoCal. There's a zone about 50-150 miles wide where local residents feel the direct effects of illegal immigration, and where they are hoping for expanding the wall based on observed effects in much of the area between San Diego and Yuma, where the wall has existed for years.
