#Daddy_A had some time last night and this morning, so he set up the #NAS I sent for his birthday (about six months ago). #Little_Boy_A, #Little_Boy_A2, #Little_Girl_A3 are watching something he's streaming off the NAS now.

#Daddy_A said shipment 5 ( boys' shoes and socks ) arrived yesterday. Apparently, #Little_Boy_A liked the shoes. Shipment 6 ( boys' socks and shoes ) should arrive today, so hopefully, #Little_Boy_A2 will also like the shoes.
I'm a little disappointed that neither of the boys has recorded a thank you video and I've gotten no photos of the kids in their new clothes.
It's part of the basic contract. When grandparents send clothes, parents take photos of the kids wearing those clothes.

Speaking of #Daddy_A, the last two clothing shipments for #Little_Boy_A and #Little_Boy_A2 should arrive this week. These are shoes and socks.
-
A while back, I bought Catan (The Settlers of Catan) to send to #sonTwo. The other day, I mentioned that I had it, and he said that they have it already. #sonOne plays games, but they seem to be of the Cards Against Humanity type. So I contacted #Daddy_A and he was excited about it ... he's been wanting to buy it for some time.

The final shipments for #Daddy_A's boys should arrive this week. He told me that #Little_Boy_A2 is excited to have Spider-Man on his new underpants. His older brother has Fortnite game characters.

#sonTwo and #Daddy_A seem to be hiding from politics right now. I'll be glad when this is over, so they'll be communicative again. There's probably also a work schedule component. 2nd son's new position involved a shift change (and the end of his 2nd job).
-
The first couple of packages for #Little_Girl_A3 were delivered today. #Daddy_A sent us a video of her saying “Thank you ... for the clothes”. Surprisingly, I understood everything the three year old said, which has not happened before.
-
I awoke to see a screenshot of #sonOne's order of clothing for #Daddy_A's daughter #Little_Girl_A3. He got everything: shoes, socks, pants, panties, shirts. There's even one item that might be a jacket. Now grandpa needs to put in an order for clothing for #Little_Boy_A and #Little_Boy_A2.
I also have a list of items to order for #GS3.
-
Shared #Daddy_A's financial status with his brothers. We're going to team up to get the kids some clothing and shoes. For some value of 'we', considering that I and #sonTwo's in-laws are already buying #GS3's clothes.

Still reading the voter information pamphlet and filling out my ballot. Sending political comments to #sonTwo, because we can talk about such things without getting angry. ( #sonOne immediately wants to argue if one believes even the slightest bit differently than he does; #Daddy_A gets silent and stops talking to you ... sometimes for months ... when such topics come up. )
-
#sonOne only watches when he can be there in person, so I know he's not watching. We used to go to Dodger Stadium 3-4 times per year.
By the time #sonTwo was old enough to do the trip, I was going less frequently, but we went to lots of minor league games.
I don't recall taking #Daddy_A to a major league game, but we went to a few minor league games.
-
#sonTwo has asked me to return later this year and again in the first quarter of next year. I'll try to come some time between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I'll need to rent a car that time, so I can zip up to see #sonOne and possibly #Daddy_A also.
-
So it looks like the science boat (that took #sonTwo and #Daddy_A on their 8th grade field trip) is no more. Imagine being on a three-day boat trip with ~200 middle school kids.
No, actually, it was a surprisingly good time. Except on the bus ride back home when I asked one kid why he was called $NICKNAME and he started crying. But he soon got back in control and was fine.

#Daddy_A bought some Fortnite in-game theme pack for #sonTwo. I’m glad to see them relating well. Neither of the younger two is especially close with the oldest (10-12 years older), though I am working to bridge that gap.
-
Saw a big 48 pack of the brand of TP my mom likes, so I bought it.
Also got Duplo blocks as my gift to #GS3 (like giant Lego blocks for younger children). #sonTwo and his wife are excited about my visit to #MO. They've already made plans for me to return in a couple of months.
Let #sonOne know I'll be at his brother's place, three hours away. Now we'll have to schedule a day for him.
#Daddy_A lives six hours away, and spent too much visiting #SoCal, so he's not coming to visit while I'm there.

#Daddy_A still had a squeaky little kid voice until he was around sixteen or seventeen years old.

So the weirdest thing is happening. #Daddy_A, who has never been one to express an opinion about something that someone else might feel strongly about, is suddenly sending me messages about politics and the environment.
So far, it isn't annoying, even though I generally avoid those topics to begin with. (With #sonTwo, we can generally discuss a topic and even advocate for points of view that neither of us hold, without getting angry, but most people cannot discuss such topics peaceably, except with people who believe exactly the same as they do.)
Because he's always been so reluctant to speak up, I try to make sure to never appear to endorse any POV when communicating with him. He's still the conflict-avoiding twelve year old, except he's almost twenty years older.
-
#Daddy_A asked me to pick up #Fortnite and join him, #sonTwo, and #Little_Boy_A in a game. So I've asked @amic@nulled.red and @corbin what I need to do.
It's honestly not likely that I'll be available at the exact time they play, but I'll make an effort to join them.
-
Going to try to figure out a time to call #sonOne. Looks like the last #videochat was 2020-06-07. I'll also try to call #Daddy_A.

I never heard of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Jay_the_Jet_Plane before today. 1998-2005, so really targeted at a younger group than mine ( #Daddy_A, the youngest, was born in 1989 ).
Here's an episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oy4_Rl9_fw ... I suppose they'd have shown two of these 12 and a half minute episodes in one half-hour show.
