@cobra2 Salary. But hey, I like to think that every penny I save my employer is a penny earned for the projects (like #fedora ) that we support!

I don't even bother compiling pardon any more. I steal a static build from the good folks over at #fedora and rpm2tgz that puppy. -

It worked, but I gave up eventually, just because I tired of the hassle, but I do like the idea of preventing unknown / unplanned / unscheduled access. -
notklaatu (klaatu)'s status on Wednesday, 02-May-2018 20:00:44 UTC notklaatu @dwmatiz I tried it with Flatpak on both #fedora and #slackware and it worked quite well. I do recommend.

Sheogorath ? (sheogorath)'s status on Wednesday, 25-Apr-2018 21:45:19 UTC Sheogorath ? You're working on something important and need to focus? Use the fullscreen-mode of your programs (usually by pressing F11).
Now #Gnome hides usual notifications, while ones that are flagged as "critical", like a battery warning, still show up.
This helps you to focus on your work. After finishing your work you can leave the full screen mode and see all the notifications in the message tray.
Hint: You can switch between multiple windows in fullscreen-mode.

Now to get the scanner working, so I can finish my travel reimbursement. -

Up until late 2016, I was split between Debian-family and #CentOS / #Fedora servers (and various Windows Server versions at work). Now is the time to learn/relearn apt, while I have no RH-family VPS. -

Since then, nearly every #Linux distro has gotten way easier to install and I haven't kept track of #BSD installation processes (but for example, #ArchLinux and #NetBSD were both more difficult than average, while #Gentoo is easy, but very long). -

This was back when that distro didn't do version upgrades very well, so I finally went with another distro.
