#sonTwo had to miss half his shift. They took #GS3 to urgent care because he had vomiting and diarrhea and a fever. By the time the doctor saw him, the symptoms had abated.
I think the father-in-law is trying to help them get a second car.

Daughter-in-law is teaching #GS3 to say his own name.
"What's your name?"
Child shakes head. Waits a bit. Says something pretty close.
"Yes, that's right."
-
Final score 9-8.
#sonTwo called, so we had a video call of us and #GS3 watching the game. #GS4 looked at the TV briefly, then went to sleep.
When it was time to hang up, sonTwo asked GS3 to say goodbye, but GS3 yelled "No!" and ran offscreen. I could not keep from laughing.

Got a call from #sonTwo for Fathers' Day. #GS3 had too much excitement this weekend (yesterday's zoo trip), so a #videochat depends on how cranky he is after his nap. It was a hot day, too, so #GS4 was sleepy all day yesterday.
-
#sonTwo took his family to a zoo today. #GS3 is exhausted after seeing zebras and giraffes. #naptime
-
#sonTwo reports that #GS3 at age two still likes fruits and vegetables. Also cheese and yogurt.
-
#GS3 ran over to see what today's delivery was. The container of #coffee was waist high to him. I think they'll be set for a while.
-
It's funny to hear #GS3 singing a song from a cartoon his father watched as a child.

Last year, while visiting #sonTwo and meeting #GS3 in person for the first time, I asked my daughter-in-law about smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. She said they had one of each, but she wanted more. So I ordered a few of each and they put them up.
Tonight, the gas stove wasn't turned all the way off and the CO detectors went off. Daughter-in-law put the kids and the dog on the porch, then opened the windows and investigated until she found the source. My son was at work.
sonTwo called me to tell me that his wife had called him at work to let him know that the detectors may have saved all their lives. Naturally, they're both quite thankful.

#GS3 got on the slide at the playground. At two years old, he's not really interested in playing with other children. But he was not anti-social either.
-
Oh, that was great. We talked a little while. #GS3 was reciting something with a rhythm to it, but no one knew what he was saying. Then dinner time came, so he said good bye and pushed the “hang up” button.

I feel a little more energetic today than I have in weeks. Temperature inside is 85F / 29C, so being slightly cooler may be part of it.
I want to go for a walk, but I’m awaiting a videochat with #sonTwo and #GS3. He’s been trying to read to me on these calls.

What a day! #GS3 got to "read" The Foot Book to #GS4 ("Left foot, left foot. Left foot, left foot. The end."), and then they got to go to a park!
The 2 year old ran down the sidewalk to the sandbox. (He normally grabs handfuls of sand and lets it run between his fingers.) The younger child smiled at the attention.

#GS3 reading a book: left foot left foot left foot.
There's a part in the book where it says something like "left foot left foot, right foot right foot". He's starting to learn the contents of each book.
-
#GS3 thought we were ending the #videochat when the turned on the game, and he asked me not to go away. Of course, I only understand about one word in ten (that will improve as he gets older).
-
Talking with #sonTwo, #GS3, #GS4 about baseball. They're watching the Dodgers game.
-
Speaking of #GS4, my daughter-in-law said he recently had two more minor surgical procedures and has been having more therapy so he doesn’t lose (through disuse) his ability to move.
He is quieter than his older brother was at that age.
(When #GS3 was somewhere around a month old, #sonOne asked #sonTwo how he liked being a parent. SonTwo responded “Babies are loud.”)

While the work laptop downloads six updates, I decided to take a look at Fortnite on the #Nintendo #Switch. I haven’t opened it since February, so there’s an update that takes 90 minutes to download.
(It is probably going to #GS3 when he’s about 8 years old if it still works. He’ll have to share it with his brother #GS4.)
-
I sent #GS3 a couple of books in the "Never Touch series":{https://toppsta.com/books/series/37330/never-touch} and he is really enjoying the different textures embedded in the pages.

#Daddy_A reports that an item I purchased that was due to arrive between June 9 and July 6 arrived today.
The Dodgers outfits and books I sent for #GS3 and #GS4 should arrive at #sonTwo's house tomorrow.
Meanwhile, #GD1 has started reading Manga* books, so I asked #sonOne for guidelines on what to buy. He's going to talk with her before he gets back to me.
* English translations, obviously.
