I'm sorry, but if you've ever run any site, you've had a cert expire unexpectedly. At least give Mozilla credit for being humans such as yourself, instead of reading evil intent into a mistake that you and I have also made. -

hehe, #bullseye! :angry_trump:
hard to know what you get in the end, as usual. different levels of #uncertaintyi for sure wouldn't trust the image of crazymax, unless he's a good friend. i've seen many popular accs being sold or #hijacked..
if #mozilla would be an official acc at #dockerhub, i'd probably also have sufficient #trust in that image.but... most trustworthy is the sources and a #dockerfile from mozilla's repo. so i need to (automatically) build the image myself

binfalse (martin)'s status on Saturday, 05-Jan-2019 20:35:06 UTC binfalse @jlelse there is an image @ #dockerhub called #mozilla/syncserver, but that is inofficial. not sure who built it and what's in it...
basically, everyone could create an account with the name "mozilla" :)and i'd never use an image by some unknown #3rdparty (like crazymax) for such #sensitive information... who knows what's in the image? and what's in there next week?

binfalse (martin)'s status on Friday, 04-Jan-2019 20:56:43 UTC binfalse just setup a private #firefox #sync server. pretty straight forward... :firefox:
1. build a #docker image from https://github.com/mozilla-services/syncserver
2. #deploy it somewhere
3. configure identity.sync.tokenserver.uri in #about:config to point to your new location
4. login at `about:preferences#sync` (you still need a #mozilla account, unless you also run a private account server)
5. sync and check about:sync-log for #error|s -
ar.al🌻 (aral)'s status on Wednesday, 14-Nov-2018 10:42:21 UTC ar.al🌻 @gvenk #Mozilla should not be trusted on #privacy. Their head of EU policy said yesterday at the Nordic Privacy Arena that they are primarily a Silicon Valley tech company, that they do not see adtech/surveillance-based behavioural advertising as a problem (and they do not) and that they are partners with Google (they are and they have gotten >$B from them and have a current deal that gets them 100s of millions of $ every year). Mozilla is a surveillance capitalist.

Seriously, #Mozilla, I wonder how you even still exist. Going to all the effort to create a privacy-first browser, then advising people that don’t know any better to disable the protections is a bad move. -
