I thought about going to the San Sebastián Street Festival in San Juan #PR this weekend, but I probably won’t. I just don’t want to deal with crowds.
Maybe I can make it over to Arecibo and see the radio telescope instead. -

I never thought about it before, but spending Christmas and / or New Year's in San Juan, #PR, must be a big thing. They even chased the homeless out of their sleeping areas on the sidewalks of the tourist zone. Last night's fireworks were spectacular, noisy, and abundant. -

There’s probably a need for “ground support” as well, but I and some co-workers noticed that there does not seem to be any retailer here in #PR that sells !RasPI or !Arduino or any similar devices. If someone did the work to create Espanol curricula built around such devices and made the devices and related projects and learning materials available, I expect someone may be able to make a splash here. -

I just used the stock config, which has plenty of (legal) streaming sources built in. I have not used #Kodi myself, so I cannot compare them. -

@alpacaherder I get the impression that this is standard in #PR, but it could be that $BUREAU enforces its normal workplace standards, while $EMPLOYER clearly does not. -

Going to the mall was a bad idea. I wasted 20 minutes trying to find a place,to park before I gave up and went to Best Buy instead. In some ways, #PR is like the US mainland. -

There’s a place in either Guaynabo or Bayamon #PR that makes “tacos” that are really good, once you get over the fact that they have almost no relationship with what we in #SoCal know as tacos.
The field guy took me there last week. He took “the old man” (age 20) there at least three times this past week. Everyone raves about how good the food is. -

At first, I thought about stopping at Pollo Tropical, but I was not impressed last time I was there (and neither was #sonTwo when he went to some of their #FL locations). Maybe it is time that #PR gets some #SoCal food places: #In-N-Out Burger, #Del_Taco, #El_Pollo_Loco -

@geniusmusing I would like to visit #Colombia and nearby countries some time. But not for work and not a multi-month stay like this trip to #PR has been.
Sadly, I can’t bring #coffee home from there because the anti-drug searchers would expect to find cocaine or some other illegal intoxicant hidden within it. -
