Our local #TechTeam bought #pizza and Coke+Sprite for one of the teams of volunteers.

I don’t use #LaTeX because I do not know it, but I would learn it if I had a regular requirement to write documents (current $EMPLOYER doesn’t use it, so the training guides and tech tips that I create for the rest of the #TechTeam does not count).
For the kinds of things it is suited for, I don’t think I’d substitute another markup language, not even the two I like, #Textile and #ReStructuredText.
I’m not a fan of #Markdown, so I try to avoid it whenever I can.

Someone from another $EMPLOYER office pointed out that a certain #TechTeam employee resembles Biz Markie. "Can't Unsee" is really true. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aofoBrFNdg

I had someone at $EMPLOYER's operation in #FL that wanted to recommend me to take over the #TechTeam operation at one site. Now that #sonTwo doesn't live there, I'm less interested in an assignment there.

The woman sitting at the other end of the table seems to have lost her mind. Trying to boss people around, having loud conversations where she accused another $EMPLOYER #TechTeam member of being a cougar, avoiding assigned tasks because she says she cannot troubleshoot. Those ingredients tell me she'll be sent home soon.

I thought this was pretty strange: I know a member of $EMPLOYER's #TechTeam, a self-described "black progressive" told me that he believes Jews control the banks and the economy, thanks to something he heard Alex Jones say.
(I've never listened myself, but that would cause me to stop if I had been listening.)

I got invited to an IT/TCom ( #TechTeam ) potluck this afternoon at another part of the island. I'd think about it if I had a vehicle and some clue how to get there. It would be good to meet more of the folks that are here (some of whom call me when their local staff cannot solve a problem).

Good morning. Starting my day with #YoCo ( #yogurt and #coffee ) and dayquil. #TZAG
I'm going back to work today, but hopefully, I won't continue the cycle (one of our customers coughed on me and a couple of other #TechTeam members last week; we've all been sick).

A #TechTeam member from another office just shared a math question from his daughter's homework:
.
60 + 60 * 0 + 1 = ?
.
I'm waiting to see the responses (answer is 61, BTW).

Some of $EMPLOYER's #TechTeam members are learning how other employees feel. We're part of a group who currently cannot log in.
-
The person who argued with his boss's boss yesterday just sent a 'Thanks & Farewell' message to the #TechTeam mailing list. Exit, stage left.
-
We had a short discussion in the #TechTeam office about setting boundaries, so $EMPLOYER doesn't consume one's life. Someone wanted to stay late to finish a project. We're already working 10 hours * 6 days.
-
Going to order a meal with the #TechTeam here. Last day in this building.
-
Sat in a room for $EMPLOYER's #TechTeam videoconference. Almost as soon as I sat down, I started drifting off to sleep. Since the meeting ended, I've been awake and alert.
.
(I haven't started 'no caffeine at all' yet.)

I don't like it when a fellow #TechTeam member from another office brings a problem to your group and they won't listen when you tell them the solution.

Was made aware that it is no longer possible to create a #Lynda.com account without also having a #LinkedIn / #LockedOut account.
I still have my Lynda account that $EMPLOYER #TechTeam funds, so that's okay for me, but that leaves the Little One high and dry.
I'm looking for a training site that includes both reading and videos. Paid is okay, if the price isn't crazy. Being tied to LockedOut or similarly useless or spammy sites is not okay.
I do have a request out to S (who works for the same agency I do), who seems to know about more training resources than anyone else I interact with regularly. However, it seems wise to ask multiple sources for this info.

Two hour audioconference for $EMPLOYER #TechTeam about to start.
-
@musicman I'd be surprised, but most of $EMPLOYER's #TechTeam would also have to ask what #IRC is. If it isn't Redmond-made (R), they don't know about it. (Some of them have heard of that scary "Lunix" stuff, but they stay away from places where they might encounter it.)
-
Talking about job.next() with S, another member of $EMPLOYER's #TechTeam.
-
No, she's another member of the agency's #TechTeam, currently working in California.
