During last night’s videochat, #GS3 (age 1 year) said something that sounded almost like ‘grandpa’. He’s on track to switch from babbling to English at a younger age than his cousins.
-
#GS3’s Dr Seuss books arrived, but it is past his bedtime and he’s cranky, so he won’t get to experience his birthday presents until tomorrow.
-
Unintentionally guilted #sonTwo ... now that he and his wife are getting their own cellphone plan, he asked whether I could drop the family plan and move to theirs. I told him to put his father-in-law on, so he can videochat with #GS3 "because I know that he'll wait all day for that few minutes with his grandson, just like I do".
Was not meant to make him feel guilty for not being able to have videochats every single day, but I guess he does.

Shipped some Dr Seuss books to #sonTwo for #GS3's first birthday. I need to ask #Daddy_A how #Little_Boy_A likes the game (his birthday present) when it arrives, too.
-
Hoping to take a Greyhound bus to #MO this month, so I can visit #sonTwo and family ( and meet #GS3 ).
-
Today, for 2nd breakfast, #GS3 has some cereal that looks like generic cheerios, but purple, orange, tan, yellow.
-
One of my brothers is flying to #WA this month to celebrate another brother’s birthday.
My nephew #PizzaMan, my grandson #GS3, and that brother all have March birthdays.

#GS3 was given some sort of vibrating bowl with some little balls as an early birthday present. Occasionally, a ball will be bounced out of the bowl by the vibrations. I guess he's supposed to chase the balls. Instead, he just reaches in the bowl and takes a couple of balls out, sets them down, takes out another, then tries to figure out how to hold one in each hand and still wind up holding three of them.

I dearly love the videos, pictures, and videochats with #GS3, but I still feel like they're giving him too much screen time. None of us knew better when #GD1, #GD2, and #Little_Boy_A were little, so they spent hours each day in front of glowing rectangles. I wish this last grandchild to grow up acquainted with, but not engrossed in whatever's on the screen.

#GS3 has learned to wave goodbye, but he doesn’t yet wave to grandpa.

Thanks to work schedule weirdness, #GS3 was getting to stay up until 21:30 most nights. Now, #sonTwo and his wife are going to try harder to have him in bed by 20:00-20:30 every night.
.
His cousin #GD2 is 7 years older and in bed at 19:00 on school nights.

#GS3, age 1 year, mostly babbles, but he occasionally says things that sound very much like situationally appropriate English sentences. He tossed a ball into a large bowl and said something very similar to "I did it". I told #sonTwo and his wife that he's probably going to be like me. My first "word" was a full sentence.

Both #sonTwo and his wife have been working extra hours and weird schedules lately, so I'm not getting as much communication time with #GS3.
-
#sonTwo, the kid that has called just about every day for the past fifteen years (since he was in high school!) has a weirdly changing work schedule for the past couple of months, so I'm able to talk to him maybe once or twice per week now, which has also limited the time I get to videochat with #GS3.

#GS3 is walking a few steps and climbing. The latest pic shows him grinning proudly after he climbed up on the couch by himself.
He gets very frustrated when he can’t do something, throws a fit, and then tries again.
-
Despite being invited to ride along on store trips in the early evening, I almost always decline. I want to be available on #Wire for a videochat with #GS-3
-
Well, I did not make six yesterday. But I spent about an hour trying to talk to #GS3 tonight. I got 2-3 minutes of his attention at a time, followed by him getting off the couch and trying to get into the bedroom where his mom was working or to the other side of the baby gate, where the dog was.

A very serious-looking #GS3 in today’s photos. I think he wants to be held. He’s clinging to my daughter-in-law’s leg.
-
I love #GS3. Even when he's a snot, he's wonderful. He's like his dad--until #sonTwo turned 16, he was almost the perfect child. (There was some family garbage that happened then along with the normal teen stuff. Tough for all of us.)

Good morning and #TZAG. I’m halfway through today’s #YoCo ( #yogurt and #coffee ).
To conserve funds, I’ve reduced the amount of #yoghurt by half. I’m also reducing the coffee level and going completely decaf for health and personal well-being reasons.
Anyway, today’s goals: (1) call or videochat with my 8 year old granddaughter #GD2 and videochat with my almost 1 year old grandson #GS3. I may also attempt calls or chats with #GD1 (age 12) and #Little_Boy_A (age 6) / #Little_Boy_A2 (age 3) / #Little_Girl_A3. (2) Fire up the #PS4 and the #Switch and play some games.
