AFAIK, there's no external difference (that is, in their relationship with the federal government and peerhood with the other states ... only #PR is a commonwealth, and it is not a state at all).
If there is a difference, it has to be in their internal organization, or perhaps in being one of the original 13 ... I believe MA also calls itself a commonwealth instead of a state. -

Mentioned to #sonTwo that I had a shot at a few months' work in #FL and he said "I spent eight years in Florida and you never visited even once. As soon as I leave you want to go there?"
I have one to three weeks to express interest. I'll talk to K about it. He worked in that office for a while. It can't be worse than working in #PR. -

So it looks like $EMPLOYER's most desirable location on #PR is not accepting any off-island residents among their staff. They might not be able to do it legally, but they've successfully harassed people until they flee. -

Found another way to suggest that I might be willing to going to an office outside the San Juan Metro. Management here in #PR has been telling us regularly that we matter and they care, but I still don't trust them. -

@moonman If you'd been in San Juan #PR tonight, I would have invited you to the Mexican food place where I and a co-worker ate again tonight. It was too noisy, so I couldn't have a conversation, but the food was good. -
