@atonofpickles Maybe I'll make a couple of groups. Pond-people and Spiltpopcorn stuff. Will that work?
-
@atonofpickles Yeah, probably so. I don't know that I'll write a lot of posts, but we'll see what happens.
-
@atonofpickles Yeah, it takes a lot more time than I thought it'd take to write a bunch of stupid status posts for people that don't exist.
-
@atonofpickles If I didn't write that myself I'd ask how it's possible for you to ask that, but yes, you can have meta-mode for this conversation.
-
Haha. My bad. It seems like I'm the main user.

@lnxw48a1 Beggin'!

@maiyannah @mangeurdenuage IIRC, God already commanded that there be no networking in His TempleOS, so GS isn't much of a likelyhood.

Freedom is terrifying, in some respects. To know that you can do, say, and act how you wish, without algorithmic control, or without a central admin and singular culture deciding as arbiter what is and is not acceptable. It is an embrace of personal responsibility and liberty and many of this generation abhor personal responsibility - so they remain in the silos. They can delegate that out to the central authority and remain in their place of safety.

Goodness, this thing is ridiculous:

@delores lol.
mastomoron: "I despise people who impose their specific idea of chaos on others."
same mastomoron: "[devs and sysadmins] won't be respected if they don't herd their cats."

@deadsuperhero Yet another reason I consider GNU Social to be technically superior to Mastodon.

@delores @roko @deadsuperhero Also, neighborhoods that have homeowners associations, although I'm not sure what their legal power those actually have over the matter.
